It's bad enough trying to get people to take stuff for free at the market in the super trading warehouse before the FP2 started, unless it's a premium item. Having to stand around in the market for ages, waiting, trying to push goods on to someone to make a profit is a nightmare not to mention time consuming and boring!

To answer thee questions you asked, the trading goals do not have to be with a stranger, but they must be done in the trading market. You can always arrange to meet a neighbor in the trading market to buy and sell.
