I click on the button at the bottom of the green hand menu and can see or use every item she has in storage. Why else would the programmers have put that on the menu if it was not to be used.

There isn't a menu for the green hand.
There is only 1 on the purple hand. You are correct that you can use that to get to their item storage. But that will only let you use 1 item at a time from their storage. You can not use the multi-planter from that, because you are holding the purple hand which can only use 1 item at a time.
That is the only way you can use items from their storage.
If you click on a multiplanter it takes you to the store. There isn't a way for that tool type to take you to their storage.

I referenced the wrong color - should have been purple or the bottom one.

I am sorry to have bothered you searching for something does not yet exist.

I will just plod along doing what I can, 1 by 1, to give her what I promised: A farm of 4-day trees planted from the tallest to the shortest.
