Hi Aceyducey,
No you will not lose that neighbor. You will just have less spots for your neighbors to show in the neighbor bar. If you use 1 spot for shortcuts then your neighbor bar will only show 7 neighbors instead of 8. If you use both spots for shortcuts then your neighbor bar will only show 6 neighbors at a time.
