With the facilities, gaining coins and buying XP items is actually a lot easier now. The major limitation is tomatoes to maxing out the facilities. Its impossible (and I literally mean impossible) to grow enough tomatoes to max out the facilities every day. If you apply a business mentality to the game instead of a game mentality, its not that hard to get to 20M in a hurry if your end product is XP.

I stopped playing seriously when they stopped layering and started back when they added the facilities. If I hadn't stopped, probably around 28-30 but not sure.
