I agree people it is just a game. Let the Developers do there job and have the holiday to enjoy.

Sitting here wondering if people realise that the HOST is doing maintenance, and not the devs? 2 different entities altogether.

The devs/game owners just rent webspace from the host so that Farm Town has somewhere to live online, they have no control over the hosts maintenance schedule.

Shame the host decided to do maintenance just when we're all waiting and longing for the Farm Town updates though

Well it is more like something out of "Gone with the Wind". "I'll think about it tomorrow".
One of my farms name is TARA, and like Scarletts' it's home, even though things are done now, not tomorrow.
Waiting anxiously for new releases. Yes the sawmill has to come, what are we going to do with all that cut wood?

And the tea? Coffee/Tea House Restaurant.
Or maybe we are going Oriental and having the Tea House of the August Moon.

I am at level 90, how high can we go?

I haven't been having any problems, apart from it being deadly slow.

I think this is the reason we're having to wait for the updates to roll out, nobody can ever be 100% certain that what the host is doing ISN'T going to mess things up.
