UPDATE NOVEMEBER 6TH, 2021 - Facebook have made some changes to how the friends lists box will show up and behave in browsers.

When you send or return gifts, the friends list will only show up on the gift page while you are looking at that tab in your browser. If you click on a different tab that is open in your browser after you have clicked on either the Proceed to Send or Send Gift Back to All buttons, without sending the gifts, that friends list will no longer show up on top of the Send Gift page. When that happens, you will need to to minimise the browser window to be able to see it again.

How do I send gifts?

Click on the Send Gifts tab located at the top of your game screen.
This is an example of some of the gifts you could see:

Some of the gift items, on the gift page, have level restrictions, when you have reached the level required for those they will become available for you to send to your friends.

Even if you have not reached the level to be able to send a particular item from the gifts page, your friends that have reached the level of the gift that is locked for you, can send them to you and will be able to accept and use them. If you received and placed a gift on your farm that you can't gift yourself, and you would like more, like a pear tree for example, you can then click on that pear tree and request it as a gift so your friends know that you would like that specific gift.
Choose a gift by clicking on the picture of the gift you want to send, the dot underneath the picture will turn blue to show that gift is selected. In the above example Achiote tree is selected.
Click on Proceed to Send
(If you do not want to send gifts just yet click the “Skip” button and your farm will load.)
You then see some options to chose from:

Farmer Lists is all your friends that already play Farm Town. When you chose this option in the window that opens you have more options to
change the view of your friends to a select group.

All Farmers: This will display all your friends that are currently playing Farm Town, including those that may have stopped playing for a while, perhaps for a vacation.
My neighbours: This will display just your neighbours in the game.
Recently Sent to: This will display the friends that you have recently sent gifts to.
Farmers helping me: This will display any friends that have helped you, like sending you a gift, worked at your farm, boosted your train.

Non Farmers: This will display your friends that do not play the game yet.

Search Friends Manually : Will allow you to search for individual friends to send gifts to.
You can also use the search box to search for specoific friends, click in the are where it says Search more friends and start typing a name. As you type all friends meeting that criteria within the filter you chose, will come into view.

Play will just skip the gifting process and load the game.
When you choose one of the blue buttons a window will open where you can choose your friends to send a gift to. It will display your friends profile pictures, if they have one, and their names. The following picture has been edited to protect privacy.
Click on each Send button to the right of each friends’ name to select them. You can select up to 50 friends at a time.
To send the gifts click the Done button at the bottom of the window.
Your gifts will be sent and your farm will then load. If you have more than 50 friends to send gifts to, just go back to Send Gifts to send more gifts to more friends.

This is the "Show Times" tool in the toolbox. You can send gifts every 8 hours. You can also check how long until you can next send gifts again via this tool in the (Gamewide section). If you own the Gifting tools you can reduce this time further. For those see What are the Gifting Tools?

How do I accept/exchange gifts via My Requests?

Click on the My Requests tab located at the top of your game screen. The number in red shows you how many Requests you have, a maximum of 50 at a time.

A page like this will load:

Here you can either individually Accept and or Exchange a gift or Exchange and Accept them All.

To accept one or some of the requests, click the Accept button to the right of the picture of each gift.

If you prefer a different gift to the one that was sent to you you can exchange it, click on the Exchange button. The gifts page will load and you can click on the picture of the gift you want, then it will bring you back to the accept page to accept it.

You can also Boost your friends trains from here. Click Accept to boost the train.

If you are only accepting some of the gifts, when you are done click the Play tab to load your game. Your gifts will be in your gift box.

If you wish you can Accept All gifts as they are shown by clicking the Accept All button. All gifts will then be sent to your in game gift box.

Or you can Exchange All gifts for a single type of gift that you want. Click on the Exchange All button, the gifts page will load and you can click on the picture of the gift you want, then it will bring you back to the accept page. and then you can use the Accept All to send them to your gift box in the game.

If you have not already sent out gifts, then after your gifts are sent, you will have another option to “Send Gift Back to All” to the friend(s) you just accepted gifts from.

Click on Send Gift Back to All and the gift page will load for you to choose one type of gift to send. Once you have chosen the gift a new box will open listing your friends’ names and the name of the gift you are sending.

Click the Send Requests button to send the gifts.

If you have more gifts that you would like to accept or exchange just click on the My Requests tab again.

When you are done with gifting, click the Play tab at the top of your screen to load your farm.

Your gifts will be in your gift box. Click on the Gift Box to open it and store or use your gifts.

If you want to fill your gift box to maximum, you can reload My Requests to accept more pages of gifts. When your gift box is full you will see this message, then you will need to load the game and store the gifts before you can accept any more gifts:

NOTE - Gifting Machines and Farm Pass Gift Reward:

With the introduction of the Gifting Machines and the Gift Reward Privilege you can earn in the Farm Pass Privileges that gives you 2 times as many gifts you will find that won't have to accept as many pages of gifts before you reach the maximum that your gift box will hold.

For example if you own all the Gifting Machines and you have earned the Gift Reward Privilege in Farm Pass, when you accept the 3rd page of gifts, your gift box will be full.

As it only uses some of the gifts on the 3rd page and not all of them before you gift box is already full, what you will see at the top of the page is an additional yellow box below the one that tells you the gift box is full.

That Send Gift Back to All allows you to return the gifts to all of the ones that you accepted without having to do those one at a time.

How do I store/use the gifts in my gift box?

This is your Gift box. If there is a number in red on the box it is telling you how many items are in there. This could be a combination of gifts from the gift page, bonuses and ingredients. Click on it to open it.

The items in the Gift Box that are sent from the Gift Page are all combined by type. Example: When you have multiples of the same gift, instead of seeing 10 boxes of 1xFuel, you will see 1 box of 10xFuel. You will be able to keep 150 gifts on your Gift Box plus about 130 Bonuses and Ingredient Packs at the same time. Bonuses and Ingredients are always listed separately.

On each individual item you will see two or more of these options depending on the item you have. “Multi”, “Use”, “More” or “Store”

Multi: For Trees/Flowers. Allows you to use the multiplanters if you own them to plant your trees/flowers directly from storage. For more information on multiplanters please click on the following link >>

Use: Allows you to plant/place each flower/tree/decoration individually. For animals it lets you place them on your farm. Click on “Use” then plant/place them on your farm. It will continue using those items until you have used all of that gift that you have in your gift box.

More: Clicking on this allows you to post a request to Facebook asking your friends to send you more of that item.

Store : Allows you to individually store each item. Crops and products get sent to your Harvest/products storage. Trees/flowers/decorations get sent to your Item storage. Bait from your gift box gets sent to your waters. Note: Bait received from sending a bonus get sent to your harvest/products storage to use in your Fishing Tackle shop , if you own one. Animals will be sent to any animals buildings that have room for them on the farm you are on.

Can I store more than one Item at a time?

Yes you can. Top right of the gift box you will see “Store Ingredients” just to the right of that is a small drop down arrow. Click on it and you will see the following options:

Store Ingredients allows you to store all crops/products from animals or facilities, bonuses and ingredients in one go. They will be sent to your Harvest/Products storage. Click on “Store Ingredients” to select that option, it will turn blue, then click on “Store Ingredients” again to store them.

Store Animals allows you to send your animals straight to the animal sheds you have on your farm, if there is room in there for them. Click on “Store Animals” to select that option, it will turn blue, then click on “Store Animals” again to store them. If there is no room in your animal sheds on the farm that you are on, they will not move, you can then try another farm with animal sheds on.

Store Plants will allow you to send all trees or flowers to your Item storage in one go, as long as you have enough room in your Item storage for them. Click on “Store Plants” to select that option, it will turn blue, then click on “Store Plants” again to store them.

A-Z Clicking on this allows you to change the way your view your items in your gift box, from default to alphabetically. Click on whichever option you wish to change the view to.

Why am I limited on how many gifts I can send?

The limits are set by Facebook. Currently you can send 50 gifts at a time. If you want to send more gifts to more of your friends just reload the “Send Gifts” tab.

Can I send Farm Cash to a friend?

Yes you can send Farm Cash to Neighbours or Buddies. The requirements to be able to send are as follows:

To send up to 500 Farm Cash:
The requirements are that either you have been playing the game for more than 6 months or you have purchased at least 120 Farm Cash. You must also have enough Farm Cash in your account to be able to send it.
To send more than 500 Farm Cash:
If you have already sent 500 FarmCash or more in value to friends, counting Gift Certificates and FarmCash items, then you will have to purchased at least 305 FarmCash to be able to send FarmCash gifts to friends again. If you have already spent that amount in the game so far, then this rule does not applies to you.

How to Send Farm Cash:

Click on the Store icon then click on the Other tab.

In this picture the user has 117 FarmCash, indicated in the picture with the red arrow and box.

You can ONLY send an FC item if you have enough FC in your account, so this user has enough Farm Cash to send a 55 FarmCash Gift Card but not the 120FC or 250 FarmCash Gift Cards:
Hover your mouse over the picture of the amount of Farm Cash you wish to send and the Send button will appear.
Then click on Send and a new box called Pick A Farmer:My Neighbours will appear. It initially shows just your neighbors profile pictures and avatar names. We've removed the profile pictures in the picture for privacy.

The coloured dots you might see next to them are the same dots that you see in your Neighbours bar at the bottom of the game screen to show who is online, who is your super neighbour, who you are a super neighbour for etc.

You can change this view to a another group of farmers by clicking on the funnel filter top right:

All Will show both your Neighbours and your Buddies
My Neighbours will show just your neighbours
My Buddies will show just your Buddies.

Use the scroll bar to the right of the box to scroll to find your neighbour/buddy.

IMPORTANT! - Avatar names are not exclusive, meaning you could have several farmers using the same avatar name as another farmer. You need to be sure that you have the right farmer before you proceed to sending anything.
When you have found your friend’s avatar name and profile picture click on Pick to the right of their picture and avatar name.
A safety popup will appear telling you how much Farm Cash you are about to send, the avatar name and the cost. Example:

VERY IMPORTANT! Check the details in the pop up are correct. This is your ONLY chance to cancel. It tells you how much Farm Cash you are sending, the avatar name you are sending to and the cost of the item. Once the gift has been sent it can not be returned or changed.
- If the details are correct click the green tick to send.
- If the details are NOT correct click the red X to cancel.
Once you have clicked the green check mark the Farm Cash will be deducted for your account and you will see a message that your gift has been sent.
Your friend will receive their FarmCash Gift Card in their Gift box in the game. They need to look in there to find and accept it. Once accepted they will be credited with the Farm Cash.

Warnings:

You WILL get a warning when they already have the exact same gift in their gift box.

IF you don't have enough Farm Cash to cover the cost of what you are sending you will see a brief message in white lettering informing you of that appear on the game screen.

Can I send Farm Cash items to friends?

Yes, you can send Farm Cash Items to Neighbours or Buddies. The requirements to be able to send are as follows:

Your friend will receive their Farm Cash Item in their Gift box in the game. They need to look in there to find and accept it.

Warnings and error messages:

The game will NOT tell you if they already have the item you are trying to send IF they already own one and it is placed on one of their farms. Please check with them that they need or want the item BEFORE you send it.

You WILL get a warning when they already have the exact same gift in their gift box.

You WILL also get a warning if you try to send a tool to a farmer that either does not own the previous tools required to have the one you want to send OR that those tools are out on their farms and not in their Item storage where the game can see that they own them.

For Example: If you were to try to send a Combine Harvest-Plant 22x22 to a user that does not have the previous tools needed to buy that tool OR that those tools are not in their Item storage, you will see a warning message like this when you click the green check mark to proceed with the purchase:

So in this example you would need to check with the farmer if the they own the tools listed in that warning and make sure that if they do own them that those tools are placed into their items storage so the game can see them.

IF you don't have enough Farm Cash to cover the cost of what you are sending you will see a brief message in white lettering informing you of that appear on the game screen.

What are Wall Requests and what are the links at the top of My Requests for?

The easiest place to find your friends Farm Town posts is by using the links at the top of the My Requests page. This is particularly useful when you can't find some posts in your Facebook Newsfeed. For posts to show up in this wall they must have first been posted to Facebook. For both types of Facility work requests there must also be a check mark in the first popup for "Show FarmTown Wall Requests".

There are actually 3 links but only 2 will show as a link when you are viewing a particular section. The links allow you to switch between each section. The section you are viewing will not be a link and will have a pale yellow background behind the text.

Click on the My Requests tab at the top of the game screen.
You will be viewing your gifts at first so you are in the Show My Requests section.

The other 2 links are Show Facility Wall Requests and Show Other Wall Requests.

Example:

To view your Friends Facility Requests click on Show Facility Wall Requests and you will see your friends recent Facility posts.

This is an example of what you could see here but they will be your friends posts.

As you can see Show My Requests is now a link, in the middle is Facility Wall Requests with a yellow background indicating that that is the section you are viewing and there is Show Other Wall Requests as a link to the right. Names and profile pictures are edited for privacy reasons :

If any of them have Pink backgrounds those are facilities already worked.
Example:

The Names in blue are a clickable link which will take you to that persons Facebook profile.

A suggestion: When working with the Wall Requests if you want to work on a request, right click on the blue link to the right of what you are wanting to do, then click on "open link in new tab".

This will open the work request in a new tab for you to work it. This way once you are done with which ever request you are working all you have to do is to close that tab and you still have the Facility Wall Requests open in the previous tab so you can work the next one. Any links you click on in Wall Requests will change from blue to purple to show that you have already clicked that link. However this may differ depending on the browser you use, this example is from using Chrome browser.

To see your Friends bonus posts, requests for gifts or ingredients and any Farm Cash rewards click on Show Other Wall Requests.

You will then see something similar to this. As you can see Show My Requests and Show Facility Wall Requests are now links and Other Wall Requests now has a pale yellow background.

The links to the right can be clicked to send a bonus, gift or ingredients.
If the background is white, those are ones you can help. 1 bonus and 1 ingredient per person, 1 gift per person. Gifts are every 8 hours unless you own the gifting machines that allow you to send gifts more often.
Those with a pink background are those you have already helped.

To view another section just click the link of the section you want to view.

NOTE:You will not see your own posts here only your friends posts.

These are the instructions for the old method of Accepting/Exchanging/Storing/Ignoring Requests using the Facebook Games Activity section.

We've included these instructions as they can be used for gifts, should there be a problem using My Requests. My Requests is a far easier and quicker method. You can NOT Accelerate Trains using this method.

You can also use this section of Facebook to Ignore any gifts that you have accepted that may be stuck in My Requests.

List of what you can do in the Facebook Games Activity section of Facebook:

You can Ignore all the requests showing in this section, with one click OR you can click the X on each request to remove perhaps just specific ones, one at a time.
You can only Accept/Exchange or one Gift at a time. There is No Accept All/Exchange All/Return All in this section.
You can Return gifts, one at a time, ONLY if you have not already sent a gift to that friend. If a gift has already been sent in the allotted time, you will not see the option to return a gift.
Do NOT Accept Train requests here. Those can ONLY be accelerated from the My Requests tab or the Train Manager in the game. If you Accept a train request in this section it will then load the My Requests tab and show you a message informing you that your request could not be processed. The request will disappear, the train will not have been boosted and you will not receive any reward for boosting.

If the train request is one you have already done and is still showing up in the My Requests area you can come to this section of Facebook and click the X on the requests to clear it.
You can Accept/Ignore Neighbour requests, but you can not Return one like you can in My Requests. There is no Add as Neighbour option after you have accepted a neighbour request. You would have to go to the My Neighbours tab to send one to them. When you Accept a Neighbour Request the game will load so do those last if you have more than one request to Accept.

You can also get to this section via the Facebook Games bookmark in the left side of Facebook News Feed.

We're only explaining in detail how to accept/exchange/clear or ignore a gift request here as that's more complicated than just accepting a neighbour request or ignoring a train request.

Facebooks area for game requests can only show you up to 100 Farm Town requests at a time, so if you have a considerable amount of requests you may have to return to this section more than once!

If you don't immediately see any game request for any of your games make sure you are in the Activity section.

Look for your Farm Town Requests they will look similar to this if you have any:

If you have a lot of requests and want to see them click on the link at the bottom of the list, indicated with an arrow in this picture:

To Accept a Gift: Click on the Accept button and then you will see something similar to this:

The gift isn't actually accepted yet, as you can see in the box it offers you to exchange the gift. if you don't want to exchange it you can click one of the 2 options at the bottom.
Yes to accept more gifts or No to load the game.
Once you have clicked Yes or No the gift is then accepted.

To Exchange the gift: Don't click the Yes or No yet. Instead, in the window, click on the link that says Click Here.

You will then see that section change to this:

The drop down arrow shows you a list in alphabetical order, scroll down the list and click on the one you want to exchange it for and the gift will be changed. If you make a mistake you can click on the list again to change it BEFORE you click Exchange.

To exchange the gift you must click on Exchange! If you do not you will get the original gift that was sent.

If you have not already sent that friend a gift you will see an option to Return a Gift If you have already sent one to them you will NOT see this option:

Click on the link to the right of "To send a gift back to your friend..." that section will change and if you wish, you can use the drop down list to pick a specific gift to send:

When you change the gift you will see that gift selected:

To send the gift click on Send Gift

To Accept more Gifts: Click the Yes at the bottom of the window and it will take you back to your requests.

If you don't want to accept any more gifts click the No at the bottom of the window and the game will load.

STUCK GIFTS: Any gifts that are what we refer to as Stuck gifts, are requests that you have previously accepted that did not clear from this area, if you try to accept stuck gifts those will not show up in your gift box in the game as you have already had them. Only the ones that you have not already accepted will show up in the gift box.

If any requests do not clear from this area despite accepting them, you must then click the X on each one to clear the requests OR if you think they are all stuck then you can use the Ignore All:

If you want to just quickly clear all the requests click on Ignore all, indicated with an arrow in this picture:

You will then see something similar to this:

Do NOT click the block link in that message if you want to continue receiving Farm Town requests!

Remember: If you have more than 100 requests you will need to refresh the page to see more of your requests.
