I don't know about coconut water ... but I'll trust your assessment.

We call it coconut milk and use it in mixed drinks It tastes great then. As kids my brother and I fought over who got the coconut milk when mom would buy one, I usually lost, lol.

I think coconut milk and coconut water are two different things.

Per wikipedia: "Coconut milk is a sweet, milky white cooking base derived from the meat of a mature coconut. The colour and rich taste of the milk can be attributed to the high oil content and sugars. The term coconut milk is not the same as coconut water (coconut juice), which is the naturally-occurring liquid found inside the hollow coconut.[1]"

I liken coconut water to that of "skim milk"... Skim milk is water that a cow walks through... Perhaps coconut water is water that a coconut is rolled through...
