Default The Regular Quest Manager

Hi, I couldn't find a section for this so I'm posting in here. I have a regular quest to "harvest Cedar trees." The only problem is that it is impossible to "harvest" them; they have to be chopped and so the quest is not recognizing that I chopped some Cedar trees. Could somebody please correct that and change it to "chop" instead of "harvest?" Thanks!

Hi Sonshyne,
I moved your post to the thread about regular quests.

Harvest is a generic term. How you harvest anything depends on what tool is needed for harvesting them. In the case of cedar you need to use the axe or a log truck with chain saw.

Did you chop those trees on your own farm yourself as that is required?

Hi, I'm replanting my quest farm and just wondering, how many fields of crops do I need to harvest for a quest item. Say I've got to grow wheat, is it 1 field, 2 fields or more ?

Thanks !

Hi peekachoo

That depends on the use you will give to your quest farm.

Most people use the Plower 5x5 so you have 25 spots of each crops.

If you like to allow some of your friends to get crops if they have the Employee lifeline, then take in mind they need 10 spots to complete a quest steps asking for 1 crop spot.

I have my quest farm planted with the 8x8 tool so I can use it not only for my regular quests and help friends, but also for farm pass daily goals as they usually ask for more than 25 spots.

Hi flinkydoodles

I moved your post to the thread about Quests.

My only suggestion is to place the Ink and Pigment factory in storage and then reload the game.
Then place the factory on a different farm and check if the Red ink can be started.

I visited your farms, and the red ink is in production but nothing is done yet.

If you cant start a batch for it, then post the facility so your friends can work it and you can start a batch for the quest or just wait about 20 minutes and you will be able to start a batch.

Remember to only start a batch, do not use +10 or +30 buttons.

When filling up a quest, if a quest needs something like red, blue, and yellow ink you have to go from the quest page to the ink facility once for each ink. If I go to, say, the ink facility from the red ink request and then select one of red, blue, and yellow ink when I come back to the quest page from the ink facility only the red has been filled. This is the same for any facility that has multiple products on the quest page, I'm just using ink as an example. It's not a big deal as you can just select the single item from the quest page in the facility. It's only really noticeable when you need to do like sheet metal and just click on all the sheet metals from the quest page.

This happens with all multiple-items in a quest when you go to a facility. Off the top of my head I can think of ink, sheet metal, and mines where this happens.

Hi TsunamiVince

Following with your example for inks, if you need to start red, blue and yellow inks, you open the facility from the quest and then start the 3 inks.

Close the quest manager and then reopen it and you will see that the 3 type of inks were started.
