I have moved your post to the thread about plowing, seeding, harvesting as your post is titled planting.

You will see that message when there are too many items on the farm in total. If there is nothing at all on the farm then you should not be getting that.


If farm 14 is the farm you are having problems with, you have layered trees and waters on it as well as a considerable amount of dirt paths.
You won't be able to put any more items on it until you remove some.
It might be worth you considering removing most or all of those dirt paths so you can see if you can put more useable items on it and instead of using the dirt paths perhaps pick a different ground cover for that farm that has a similar colour to the dirt paths to use instead.
