It's kind of early yet to be asking but does anyone know how this works?? IE how much each one actually costs??

4.Gift Certificates: There are 3 Gift Cards (55, 120 and 250 FC) on the Holiday Section that you can send as gift to your neighbours.

I imagine they will work exactly like sending a farmcash building, decoration etc. Select 'send', then choose which friend you would like to send it to and it will end up in their gift box.

Says it right there Sunny D...you quoted it. The cost of the card is the amount you send.

I am guessing you have to own the cash before you can gift it and that means purchasing it through the regular way at the regular rate.

No, that's not right. To purchase 55 farmcash it costs $9.99 American. Then with 50 of those farmcash you can purchase and send the gift card to your neighbor. You can find the costs to buy farmcash in the 'earn cash and coins' tab.
