All you had to do was wait on the farm you were hired on until the counter showing your xp and coins quit running by your avatar. Once it stopped and you were just zipping around the farm to the field patches you could leave as all your counters were done properly. If you left before the on screen little words weren't done running through, yea, you would lose your hard work. It was pretty simple I thought. The now very slow harvesting and plowing is no good.
You make this game too difficult cause every time you change something FarmTown is full of glitches for days after that.
I haven't gone to Farmville cause I think it is corny, but most of my neighbors and fb friends have because of the constant glitches.
And I am hovering in level 60 waiting for something new to happen.

this is how people were moving quickly up the levels, or quickly plowing/harvesting fields, and not losing coins and xp.

TIP 3
make sure go under the wrench, and untick trees, flowers, buildings, and the last 2.

TIP 4
start in an area where no one was working, and do side to side or top to bottom, but click fast and be courteous to not extend yourself to others areas.

ask to be rehired to plow to take away the red square

coordinate with your neighbors to meet up at certain times to harvest/plow each others fields..i hire you, you hire me, we work at same time, get done sooner, plant sooner, level up sooner.

use please and thankyou and ask rather than demand to be hired

don't hire more than 2 people at a time, 1 to harvest, 1 to plow. this way harvest plow seed harvest plow seed...its all done at the same time. when you hire 5+ people to do the same job, several things would happen.
a)people would fight over plots. if i clicked the same plot you just clicked, which one does the server see first? to me, it looks like me, but to the server, maybe it looked like you...so, people assumed they lost xp/coins.
b)the whole farm got bogged down
c)you lost time anyways because it took all them people longer actually to do what 2 people + you could have done
d)people started to have ghost workers, and ghost plots. its rather annoying to think harvesting or plowing is all done, but its not upon a change.

TIP 9
what do you need more at the time you are looking for work? are you in need of coins or xp? if coins, concentrate on harvesting a field and leaving back to mp to be hired to harvest again. if you need xp, then concentrate on being hired for plowing, and leave the harvesting to those looking for coins.

TIP 10
if your trying to move up the levels, plant fields that take less time to mature. raspberries take 2 hours....how many times can one plant, plow, and harvest a raspberry field in a day???? alot!!

my thing now is, i had layered crops. When I plow a harvested field, I get an 'already done' message, and the swuare reverts to grass. When I refresh, the harvested field come back.

I cannot delete the harvested field to get to the layer underneath it! It's on my second farm- I want the $20 back that I paid for coins to buy it!

Also, I hate the other change- you can't plant flowers and trees, then hide them, and then plow over those...

The layered crops and plowing over trees were glitches - which we were allowed to take advantage of. I have not tested with my layers or trees, but if we are no longer able to do so, then we must be thankful for the time we were able to take advantage of said glitch and continue on as before.

I have layered crops, just tested, still works

haven't checked out the planting over trees yet. I'll go try that now.

I agree with most of the posts. I do NOT like the new changes. Ive lost lots of xps and coins, but I think I prefer it over this slowliness. I just left a pineapple field, cuz I just couldnt be bothered to work this slowly.
I agree, I also think it would be way better to just limit how many ppl a farmer can hire at one time.
I appreciate all the hard work you developers put into this game though.

i agree, if this continues I, too, am done playing Farm Town. A better fix would be to not allow multiple hiring. That would have fixed the problem. I was one that complained about loosing xp points and money but I would rather loose an occasional XP point or coins compared to this. Please change it back or you will loose alot of players.

Just went and tested. Still works as it always has. Plant tree on grass, hide trees, go visit a neighbor, come back, plow a vacant slot that does not have a tree on it so (plot cursor) turns green, plow plot with tree hidden. Unhide trees. as I said works with buildings, trees, and flowers.

By the way. My farm is supposed to be linked (says it is) but it isn't, what's the deal here?

One other thing.....
its a game and we're supposed to be having fun.
There is now fun in everyting taking MUCH longer to do.
xp/coins are secondary to Realtime being lost.
there will always be another crop around the corner, worring about every xp point and every coin is pointless in this game

I must say....well done!!

Most of the issues with coins and XP that were taking place have been addressed in one fell swoop. I experienced this new harvesting/plowing procedure and I must say it is functioning VERY well for me. Gameplay now seems to have a level playing field for the people with slower connections and those people playing the game WITHOUT CHEAT PROGRAMS.

I would think that the majority of the complaints you will get is from the people with faster connections and/or cheat programs that allowed them to walk all over the people that didn't use the cheating programs and/or are only able to obtain a slower connection to the internet.
My response to that is......"Awwww, poor babies. NOW you actually have to play the game as it was meant to be played."

Thank you Raul and ALL the developers for your hard work and solutions to this particular problem. Awesome job!!!!
