There aren't many other games where so much stuff is available for coins.

Maybe there isn't many other games where stuff is available for coins but true expressions of discontent are as acceptable as constant applauding the divas. 10 billion is excessive and I have found a lot of my neighbors have decided not to play for awhile due to the high cost of upgrading. I did upgrade my first farm and for the few squares I got, wish I could have my money back and you can have the land back. Admittedly I did misread the price and thought it was 10 million. My bad but I'll happily sell the land if you can take it back. Also, no need to jump down my throat if I disagree with some. I've exerienced that before. Complaints are as acceptable as accolades.

For all the time the game has been available, the limits for each farm were 24x24. Many players have asked for larger sizes.... and each time the answer was NO ---- the limits are fixed by the restrictions in FLASH.

so.... until now (with the apparent change in FLASH) none of us expected a 26x26 ... at ANY cost. And we planned accordingly.

so.... now they have found a way to ADD to the game... to give the game an EXTRA that is NOT a big necessity for enjoyment of the game.

so... some avid players have
[1] the coin to expand ...or
[2] the ability to spend real money to expand ...or
[3] the goal to play more until they have the coin to expand ... or

and some players don't.

Gee and here I thought a player could voice an opinion without criticism. That's probably why 98% of the posts are praise. Everyone's been scared off from sharing their thoughts that don't agree with the masses.

Maybe there is a US president who is willing to spread the land around.... but he is not one of my neighbors....

Well said Nana I have been playing Farmtown since May, 2009 and plan to continue playing because I love the game. I totally agree that the upgrades are excessive. By my calculation the expansions gives you 132 more plots per farm at a cost of 75.7 MILLION PER PLOT. It would take a lot of tators to absorb that cost. My experience has been that the cost in coins would not be achieveable with out layering of some kind which is supposedly discouraged by the developers but seems to be encouraged by this expansion. More importantly to your post I believe we should be able to express that opinion on this forum without people jumping down our throats and telling us that if we don't like it we can just leave.
