Ok, after Raul's update on glitch fixes, sending gifts seems to be right as rain now. Receiving those ingredients is still not working correctly for me.
For example, I posted for the ingredients to make 8x Beach Sets. But when my neighbors send them, my gift box says 4x Beach Sets sent by ... Anyone else having this issue?
