Read the info at this link. It doesn't apply on my Mac OS 10.6 system, using Safari 5.0. However, when I reset Safari, which I do at least once daily, basically I am doing something similar and I have not had the problems being frequently reported with FT (and other aps). The image below shows the options I routinely check mark when resetting Safari.

another thing you can try, as mentioned in previous posts on this thread, is reinstalling the flash player
