Hi Keith,
The game in either location still have your neighbors. That has not changed. The game in the stand alone website has no way to have friends who play as you do in Facebook who are allowed to do some things to help with your farms. Those friends will need to become buddies instead to be able to continue the interaction between you and them.

That is the only difference between the Facebook version and the web site version. All other parts of the game will be implemented as quickly as they can.

This is not a move that the developers wanted to have to make, but is being forced by Facebook as they continue making demands on the developers that are unreasonable.
It is your own decision if you decide to quit, but that is not what the developers are wanting and trying to get the game capable of being played the same way you do on Facebook with as few changes as is necessary.
