This AM, when I first arrived on my farm I saw that it hadn’t loaded completely – all my neighbors were white with a blue background. I reloaded the game. That’s when I got the bulldozer. But other times I’ve accepted or sent gifts, then loaded my farm & had the bulldozer appear right away.
Hope this is something that can get fixed easily. I'd hate to start deleting items before I realized the bulldozer tool was already set.
(NOTE: Another friend of mine has mentioned having the same problem.)

It sounds like your data is stuck with you holding the bulldozer.
Please try clearing your memcache (link below), then when the page of unsetting text opens close it and your farm, then clear your browser cache and close your browser. Reopen and try again.
