According to some others tonight that helped a new person join, you must be logged into slashkey, then there is something called User CP, you have to click on something there to accept, and then save then changes. I was told the User CP was not obvious, and was somewhere near the bottom. Let us know at the next group harvest if you are still having problems and will get you fixed right there on the spot.

At the top right of the forum page there is a link called Your Notifications. You should see pending invite requests there.
